The perfect Parisian breakfast is simple: fresh croissants, a baguette with butter, fruit, and coffee. As a Paris photographer, I photographed exactly that in a sunny Paris apartment with Rebecca Plotnick of Everyday Parisian, during her birthday week. Here are the photos, and how to put together a Parisian breakfast of your own.

A Parisian Breakfast with Rebecca of Everyday Parisian
You know when you associate some people with certain smells or foods? Well, I associate darling Rebecca of Everyday Parisian with CROISSANTS! Seriously, she’s a girl who’s soul belongs in a Parisian boulangerie. For real.
If you’ve ever read her blog, you’ll know she’s all about everything Parisian wherever she goes. But luckily, I get to always see her in her element, in Paris!

We did this little session at her amazing Haven In Paris apartment here in Paris during her birthday week! The fresh fruit, coffee, and croissant and baguettes are just the perfect breakfast, and the perfect surrounding for her!

What Is in a Perfect Parisian Breakfast?
- Croissants, still warm from the boulangerie. Not sure what to ask for? Read how to order in a French boulangerie.
- A fresh baguette with butter.
- Fresh fruit. We had strawberries.
- Coffee, and a glass of orange juice.
What do you think of this breakfast? Would you add anything?

- Choose a place with big windows. This apartment had tall French windows, and all of these photos were made with natural light.
- Do something real. Making coffee, rinsing strawberries and tearing into a croissant make for natural photos, because you are not thinking about the camera.
- Keep outfits simple. Soft, neutral colors keep the focus on you. See our what to wear guide and my favorite things on ShopMy.
- Celebrate something. Rebecca’s session was during her birthday week.
