QUESTIONS

We recommend 2-4 months in advance, even longer during the spring and summer months especially if you have very limited time. We do our best to keep flexibility in our schedule however for last minute requests. Shoot us an email at [email protected] and let’s schedule something!

It’s simple, get in touch with us via our contact form to find a date and time that’s best for your family portraits. Once we settle on a date and time we’ll send you an email through which you can answer a few basic questions (takes about 30 seconds), and pay the session fee. Once we have received these two things, you’re booked!

Just after sunrise. We offer all of our outdoor sessions in the morning as this is the best time for a quiet empty city, and for everyone to be fresh and ready for the session!

Yes! Our top three favorite spots are Palais Royal, the Luxembourg Gardens and Pont Neuf. The most iconic is of course around the Eiffel Tower! Upon booking we will send you a location guide where you can see samples from many different locations around Paris and choose from there!

We have a HUGE what to wear guide exclusively for my clients that we’ll share with you once you’ve booked! Be sure to read your booking confirmation email!

Yes! We will show you how to pose and then let the emotions come naturally. We’ll be talking throughout the whole session, asking you questions, somehow funny stories always come out and it’s more like hanging out with friends taking a few photos than having a photo session. I promise, none of our KDP clients are models, we simply have fun and it comes out in the photographs!

In a 30-45 minute time frame, we stick to 1 neighborhood and get a ton of variety in that neighborhood. In our 2 hour sessions we can do 2 neighbourhoods. Depending what you are interested in we’ll give you recommendations of how long we will need. Our mini sessions are a good fit for most.

Yes! Our sessions are up to 2 hours, if you feel that this is not enough time, we can add on extra hours or additional time another day. This must be scheduled in advance and cannot be added on during the session.

Yes! If you don’t want to completely change, other options are adding on accessories like hats, jumpers, scarves or cute jackets.

We think flowers, balloons, maps, hats, games, picnic materials, even a bottle of champagne can be fun! Just let us know before so we can prepare our ideas for photographs!

A 24-48 hours before your photo session we’ll confirm meeting spot as well as check in to see if you have any last minute questions. If the weather forecast is really terrible we will try to switch to a different time either the same day, the following day or the day before, whichever day has the best weather. If that’s not possible schedule wise we will break out the nice umbrellas and head around Paris, making some stops at different covered areas like cafés, covered markets and other areas. If you’re living in Paris we will schedule to the next best available day for you. In general we try to stay as flexible as possible for our clients so we can always find a good time!

Yes. They come with our Gold and Platinum Sessions. The smaller resolution file for social media sharing come with each print you purchase. Printable files up to 5X7 come with our wall portraits.

Glad you asked! We offer a variety of gorgeous, museum archival-quality products and heirlooms including hand designed albums, beautifully crafted hardwood framing, fine art canvases, smaller archival prints, and our premium acrylic wall portraits. You’ll be able to see, touch, and fall in love with these at our studio when you come in after your session to view and order your portraits.

After your session we’ll set up a time to meet at our studio and have your ordering appointment. This is usually the same day just in the early afternoon. During this appointment we’ll show you your portraits, choose your favorites, and you’ll order your favorites for artwork! Most of our clients want a showstopper for their wall and gifts for family along with a fine art album for the coffee table. Most clients spend 1500-5000€ to get what they want. That said, there is no minimum purchase, you choose what you love! Everything is shipped to you worldwide.

We only keep the files of the portraits that you buy. Any other photos are considered unwanted and are culled out of our archives every year.

We cover shipping costs for anything you purchase and pay for during your ordering appointment. Anything additional purchased after your initial viewing or at a later date will have shipping charges depending on the size of the artwork. We make every effort to minimize additional costs however we do not cover any customs or import duties that your home country charges you.

We NEVER ever ever EVER share photos if you aren’t okay with it. Just let us know.

Cancellation up to 1 month before your session is refundable less a 150e fee. Between 14 days and 24 hours before your session, anything you’ve paid may be used towards a session in the future including any deposits. No-shows are non-refundable/non-transferable under any circumstances. Rescheduling (if new requested date and time is possible for KDP) may be done once (after that there’s a 50e rescheduling fee), and must be confirmed by both parties at least 24 hours in advance.

2. Our Services

We offer professional photography sessions and custom photo artwork.
All details, pricing, and availability are listed on our website or discussed directly with you during booking.

We may update our offerings or prices from time to time — but don’t worry, once your booking is confirmed, your rate and inclusions are locked in.

3. Booking & Payments

A non-refundable retainer (or session fee) may be required to confirm your booking.

Remaining balances are due on or before the date of your session or order.

We accept secure payments via Stripe, PayPal, or bank transfer.

All prices include applicable taxes unless noted otherwise.

4. Rescheduling & Cancellations

Life happens — we get it!

Rescheduling: You can reschedule once without penalty if you give notice within the timeframe stated in your booking confirmation.

Cancellations: Retainers/session fees are non-refundable because they reserve your date and time.

Weather: For outdoor sessions, we’ll make a joint decision if the weather isn’t ideal and find the best alternative date together.

5. Photo Usage & Copyright

All images remain the intellectual property of Katie Donnelly Photography.

You’re granted a personal license to use your purchased images for personal use (printing, sharing, displaying).
However, you may not:

Sell or use images commercially

Edit or apply filters that alter the photographer’s artistic integrity

We may feature your images in our portfolio, marketing, or social media unless you request otherwise in writing before your session.

6. Delivery of Images & Artwork

Digital galleries are typically delivered within the timeframe provided after your session.
Custom artwork and prints may take additional time depending on production and delivery schedules.

We always pack with care, but once an order ships, we can’t be responsible for postal or courier delays.

7. Gift Cards, Offers & Promotions

Gift cards, promotional offers, and discounts are valid for the period stated at purchase.
They are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

8. Limitation of Liability

While we take great care during your photo session and product delivery, Katie Donnelly Photography is not responsible for:

Injuries, loss, or damage during or after your session

Data loss or system failures beyond our control

Force majeure events (like illness, strikes, or natural disasters)

In any event, our total liability will not exceed the amount paid for your session or product.
