This week while spending time with my dad Iโve seen more and more Paris, making me fall in love all over again with the city. There are always new and beautiful things that you havenโt noticed before. The city is so full of history itโs hard to soak it all in a lot of the time. However, there really is no need to soak it all in as just little bits and pieces can stir that little pot of โspecialโ joy in your soul that usually only childhood nostalgia can touch.
Iโm beginning to realize that travel in general does that for me. Even travel within my hometown (NYC). There are things that stick with you like in Paris, the sign that Picasso lived in the building across the street from us at one point, or in New York, that the best burger in The city is served until 3:30am. (You can tell that i have a positive association with having a good life and eating delicious foodโฆ)
So here we are again, traveling in the south-west for the long weekend in France. Weโre seeing friends, family, enjoying the summer and discovering new and beautiful things to add to the scrapbook of life thatโs in our heads. Iโm taking in the last licks of French summer and preparing for my trip to New York next week to enjoy the end of their summer. Expect updates, but not as many as usual because instead of writing at night, Iโll be soaking in the moonlight with my loved ones. I suggest you all do the same.
